They all seek their own world and bury themselves in it, just to make existing more bearable, and Treadwell just happens to be a nature escapist. But the unbearability of societal life is often beyond their earnest efforts. Of course Treadwell wasn’t afraid of dying - he was suicidal the moment he chose this life.
